It is well known that much of the pipelines comprising the nation's sewer collection systems are badly in need of rehabilitation.
The problems are many--often simply the age of the system. However, one of the most serious and often overlooked issues is the invasion of tree roots which grow into sewer mains restricting or blocking flow and causing serious structural damage.
