San Isidro.(travel information)(City overview)

San Isidro is Lima's playground for the urban elite and is filled with some of the country's priciest residential complexes, restaurants, boutiques, and businesses. It is consistently ranked as one of the best neighborhoods in all of Peru. San Isidro was developed in the 1920s as a residential area between the Center and Miraflores. The design was based on North American models, with most of the houses having gardens. In recent years it has taken on more of an upper middle class character with all of the living quarters and hotels that surround the park being quite exclusive.
