In the final chapter of "The World is Flat," Thomas Friedman remarks, "You can flourish in this flat world, but it does take the right imagination and the right motivation." We in New Hampshire would do well to combine this advice with the bumper-sticker cliche, "Think globally, act locally," and take a fresh approach ensuring the workforce we need to compete in an international marketplace.
