Feb. 6--With its trademark chicken sandwiches, waffle fries and soft vanilla ice cream, fast-food giant Chick-fil-A is set to open a restaurant in Boiling Springs this summer.
The restaurant will be next to Applebee's off Rainbow Lake Road in front of the Boiling Springs Wal-Mart. It is scheduled to open on June 28, with construction beginning in March.
Brenda Green, senior public relations coordinator for Chick-fil-A Inc., said the 4,000-square-foot location will be able to seat 104 and will include a play tower for children. It will also bring about 65 jobs to Boiling Springs.
