A WOMAN astronaut besotted with a handsome space shuttle colleague was behind bars last night - for allegedly trying to kidnap and murder a younger love rival.
Lisa Nowak, 43, is said to have disguised herself in a trenchcoat, hood and wig and stalked Colleen Shipman armed with a knife, a ball-bearing gun and a pepper spray.
She pounced in a car park, hitting her victim in the face with the spray - but Colleen managed to flee and alerted police.
Officers say they seized Nowak - a married mum-of-three ...
