Feb. 7--NORWALK -Norwalk Community College risks losing $500,000 in donations unless the state legislature loosens restrictions in a new campaign finance law, college officials said yesterday. NCC Foundation officials raised the issue with state lawmakers at the college's annual legislative breakfast. Later in the day, Senate President Donald Williams Jr., D-Brooklyn, said a bill to address community colleges' concerns is "97 percent" done. Williams said he hopes to have the bill ready for a vote today. "I do not think this is a partisan (issue)," James Goodwin, executive director of the NCC Foundation, said after ...
