HAMILTON, Bermuda -- Ingersoll-Rand Company Limited (NYSE:IR) announced today that Marcia J. Avedon has joined the company as senior vice president, human resources and communications. She also has been elected an officer of the company and will serve as a member of Ingersoll Rand's Enterprise Leadership Team. Avedon will have responsibility for the enterprise human resources function and for corporate communications, and will have a shared accountability for the company's business-sector human resources and communications.
