The B-1B bomber, nearing the end of congressionally-mandated testing, has surpassed target outcomes in two weeks worth of exercises under "wartime conditions" in Roswell, N.M., the Air Force said Friday.
In June, the aircraft began its Operational Readiness Assessment (ORA) to determine if the bomber can reach a 75 percent mission capable rate. The Roswell portion saw rates of 85 percent achieved.
ORA testing officially ends Nov. 30.
