Feb. 7--The Walnut Creek City Council delayed a plan to increase traffic impact fees Tuesday night. Instead, council directed city transportation planners to go back to the drawing board on the fees and the $30 million transportation project list that the fees could've helped pay for.

The council was given a list of 33 improvements that city transportation planners wanted adopted so the projects could be paid for, in part, with traffic impact fees.
