Feb. 7--The Walnut Creek City Council delayed a plan to increase traffic impact fees Tuesday night. Instead, council directed city transportation planners to go back to the drawing board on the fees and the $30 million transportation project list that the fees could've helped pay for.
The council was given a list of 33 improvements that city transportation planners wanted adopted so the projects could be paid for, in part, with traffic impact fees. The fees are charged to developers for new development. Council members said they couldn't vote on a list of projects they weren't convinced were needed because of new ...
