Last season, Mounds View's boys' swimming and diving team opened its dual meet season against Stillwater and pushed the favored Ponies to the brink before losing.
Thursday's meet against rival Stillwater concludes the dual meet season, and Mounds View is poised to record a historic victory. The Ponies have not lost a dual meet in the Suburban East Conference since it was formed in 2001-02.
"It's probably the biggest dual meet I've been a part of," Mounds View senior tri-captain Dan Cremons said. "This would be an important win for our team, kind of the start of a new era."
