Ranbaxy gets final USFDA approval for anti-depressant

Mumbai, Feb 8 (PTI) Pharma major Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd today said it has received US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) approval for its anti-depressant Sertraline Hydrochloride tablets in various dosages.

In a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange, the pharma giant said, "the office of generic drugs, USFDA, has determined the company's formulation to be bioequivalent and to have the same therapeutic effect as that of the reference listed drug Zoloft Tablets of Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, Inc."
