NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--November 23, 1994--Nearly 100 New York City restaurants today urged the New York City Council to modify Intro 232A, which proposes a virtual smoking ban that will harm the entire restaurant industry in New York City.
In a full-page advertisement, appearing in major New York City daily newspapers, restaurants throughout all five boroughs urge the City Council and the Mayor's office to allow them to accommodate the preferences of all their customers. Interest among restaurateurs in expressing their opinions was so overwhelming, that a second ad featuring close to another 100 restaurants will run sometime in the near future.
