Feb. 10--VIRGINIA BEACH -- Amerigroup Corp., whose senior management has been marked by turnover in recent years, disclosed Friday that its chief medical officer had resigned.
In a one-sentence statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Virginia Beach-based company said Eric M. Yoder stepped down as executive vice president and chief medical officer on Feb. 2.
Amerigroup specializes in providing managed care to Medicaid beneficiaries and children whose families lack conventional health insurance. It has health care plans in nine states, including Virginia, and in Washington, D.C.
