THE FIRST DOCUMENTED WICKER PIECES were from ancient Egypt. Those ancient Egyptians knew a thing or two about design. Wicker--generally defined as any plant material woven into a useful object--is sturdy and durable, and its homey texture and natural palette make it a wonderful choice for almost any environment.
