Feb. 12--If Abraham Lincoln ever set foot in Owensboro, he kept it to himself. But the future president, who grew up 30 miles north of Owensboro, did float by the city on a flatboat bound for New Orleans in 1828. That connection -- and the proximity of Lincoln sites in Hancock County and in Spencer County, Ind. -- may be enough to bring some tourist dollars to town as the nation celebrates Lincoln's 200th birthday on Feb. 12, 2009.
