Feb. 12--JENKS -- People say it is a nightmare on Elm Street, but most agree that it will be a dream come true when the road-widening is complete.
Drivers and business owners have tolerated orange cones on a zigzag, pock-marked stretch of Elm Street between the Creek Turnpike and B Street for a year. The whole process, including design and engineering, has been in the works for six years. The $2.8 million project receives 80 percent of its funding from the federal government.
