BUTUAN CITY - Elements of the regional, provincial, city and municipal police offices under Police Regional Offices (PRO) 10, 11 and 13, including regional and provincial mobile groups, have intensified the enforcement of the election gun ban since the start of the election period.
Policemen in the regions have set up police-Commission on Elections (Comelec) mobile checkpoints at various areas, it was learned.
As of yesterday afternoon, 45 persons, who were carrying firearms and bullets, were apprehended at the checkpoint for violation of the gun ban.
