By the time Andrea Simonett and her 10-year-old daughter, Sadie, arrived at a south Minneapolis Cub Foods store for a flu shot Friday, the line snaked down the shampoo aisle.
But for Simonett, unnerved by the three recent flu deaths of Minnesota children, the wait was worth it, even though Sadie was more worried about the needle than what it could protect her from.
"I've never thought of the flu as something that can be so serious it could kill you," Andrea Simonett said.
