SAN FRANCISCO--Nov. 8--The floor is strewn with scraps of paper. Eyes are glued to screens listing the latest buy and sell prices for dozens of stocks. The hand gestures are confusing. And the noise volume is at peak volume.
On the Pacific Stock Exchange's options trading floor in San Francisco, the pace is downright frenetic.
"It's a real fight from the opening bell to the closing bell," says Lynne Keck, who owns Keck Securities, an institutional floor brokerage firm that represents various institutional trading desks, banks and fund managers across the country. "It's a very physically tough environment."
