Feb. 12--Although he's not in law enforcement, Scott Carnahan spends a lot of time thinking of ways to keep cops safe. Carnahan is director of duty gear marketing at Safariland Ltd. Inc. in Ontario, which makes holsters, bulletproof vests and accessory belts, mostly for police departments. Carnahan, who has worked for the company for 30 years, oversees the design team that looks for ways to improve Safariland's products, especially its holsters, the company's best-sellingproduct.
