Feb. 13--Internet users at Pima County Public Library branches shouldn't be required to use filters. But when they choose unfiltered access -- meaning they can view pornographic material -- they should be reminded that Arizona law prohibits the display of such material when minors are present. That's the compromise recommendation by a group of ministers, educators, lawyers and librarians that reviewed the library system's Internet policy. County Supervisor Ray Carroll raised the issue last year after a television news crew showed him video of men viewing pornography on library computers.
