Feb. 13--DUBLIN -- The thrills came as fast as the chills for the Pulaski County High School boys' and girls' basketball teams as the River Ridge District tournaments opened Monday night on the Cougars' court.
The excitement for the girls' team came for vastly different reasons than the boys.
The Cougars girls put on a dazzling shooting display and played perhaps their finest game of the season in dispatching Salem, 70-45.
In the second game, the Pulaski County boys were cruising comfortably before sundry offensive breakdowns and some inspired play from underdog Christiansburg threw a fright into the Cougars. In the end ...
