If a pet dies during the winter and the ground is frozen, pet owners face a dilemma: What do you do with the remains?
There are only two pet cemeteries in the Twin Cities area, and they usually bury pets only from May to October, when the ground is thawed. Some pet owners store the remains in their freezers until they can bury their pets in the yard, though rules of some cities prohibit burying pets on personal property. Pet owners increasingly are turning to another option: cremation.
