If Jan Mathison had her way, every adult in the Wenatchee Valley would have a glass-is-one-fifths-full kind of attitude.

Wine tasting rooms in Washington are only allowed to serve a taste of wine to customers--no open bottle and no chairs to stay a while and drink. The definition of 'a taste' may vary from tasting room to tasting room, but at Mathison's Stemilt Creek Winery Tasting Room, which opened Dec. 23 in downtown Wenatchee, that amounts to one-fifths of a glass.

So, having more people with such an attitude stop by would suit Mathison ...
