Feb. 13--CLAREMONT -- House and Senate lawmakers articulated the first definition of an adequate education Monday, more than a decade after the state Supreme Court instructed them to do so under the Claremont II decision.
The court ordered lawmakers to define an adequate education by June 30, spelling out how much that would cost, what the source of the money will be and how that money will be delivered.
Failure to do so could mean possible court intervention.
