Feb. 13--BLADENBORO -- With corn prices exceeding $4 a bushel, Isaac Singletary is considering the ways he could profit.
Singletary raises cattle and grows corn at Reedy Branch Farms. Singletary can feed corn to his calves and sell them as cattle. Or he can sell the calves and cash in on the high corn prices.
A few miles away at the Wintergreen Hunting Preserve, Boyce White is watching his expenses soar as his 85,000 quail go through about 200 tons of feed this year.
