To the Editor:
The League of Women Voters celebrates its 87th birthday today. As the League honors the years of work its members accomplished, it is also looking to the future. League members continue their commitment to improving communities across the country and making democracy work!
The League conducts studies and provides programs to the general public on issues that are not exclusive to women. They include: reforming New York state government, safeguarding voter's rights, smart growth by containing urban sprawl, equity in public school financing and accessible health care.
