DEFENCE Minister Willie O'Dea is going to get the highest vote in the country in the general election, according to a Fine Gael poll.
The Limerick TD is set to become the biggest vote-getter since former Taoiseach Jack Lynch's heyday in Cork.
Fine Gael's polling in Mr O'Dea's Limerick East constituency predicts the minister will romp home with nearly 20,000 votes - enough to win two seats.
Mr O'Dea will take an astonishing 33pc of the vote, a huge feat even for someone who has topped the poll for the past 25 years.
