The Debt Buyers Association International released a white paper yesterday on the value of debt collection to the U.S. credit markets and urged its members to use the findings when responding to critics. The paper, "Consumer Credit Markets: Why Collecting Debts is Important to Everyone," argues that the collection process is essential to the survival of the credit markets.
