Feb. 16--By noon Thursday, customers were returning jars of peanut butter linked to a salmonella outbreak to local stores, which had emptied shelves of Peter Pan and Great Value brands. Owensboro Medical Health System's emergency room and Convenient Care each treated two people who came in with concerns about possible salmonella sickness.
But there had been no confirmed cases reported at those sites or at the Green River District Health Department as of late Thursday afternoon.
