Dennis Basso: Dennis Basso had big plans this season to leap beyond furs for his first foray into the tents. But the transition from beloved furrier-to-the-tony-set to full-fledged ready-to-wear designer is neither automatic nor easy, and the inherent difficulties were evident in his show on Friday. Problem number one: Beyond his penchant for bursting into tiers on dresses, tops and skirts, Basso's point of view was a little vague.
