Feb. 16--A dream born amid the dirt and desire of Osceola County ranchers lives on.
The Silver Spurs Rodeo returns for its 119th edition today through Sunday at Kissimmee's 8,300-seat Silver Spurs Arena. The rodeo is a bi-annual event on the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association circuit that takes place most every fall and spring.
This weekend about 360 participants will compete for more than $40,000 in prize money, which includes $5,500 total payout in each of the rodeo's seven events: bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, cowgirls' barrel racing, steer wrestling, calf roping, team roping and bull riding.
