Feb. 16--San Jose Mayor Chuck Reed was feeling bullish on Silicon Valley's future at the Wednesday groundbreaking for a new building at Cadence Design Systems' campus in North San Jose.
The five-story, 208,000-square-foot building, which will be a state-of-the-art engineering center for the tech company, also marks the first project in the plan to further develop the North First Street area.
