Feb. 16--One of the world's most important and challenging choral pieces -- Johannes Brahms' "A German Requiem," ("Ein Deutsches Requiem") -- will be performed by the Pueblo Choral Society March 3.
The 7:30 p.m. concert, at Hoag Hall on the campus of Colorado State University-Pueblo, will showcase what is alternately described as a tribute to the composer's late mother, a tribute to fellow composer and mentor Robert Schumann, a comfort for the bereaved rather than a grieving over death and a tribute to humanity.
