Dhaka, Feb 16 (UNB) - Law-enforcing agencies will now have to take prior permission of the advisory council on law and order before conducting any eviction drive in any metropolitan area so that destitute people do not suffer from the clean-up campaign.
The brake was pressed on the ongoing drive against the encroachers and land-grabbers as there are reports that the demolition of illegal structures hit many rootless slum-dwellers and small vendors in kiosks for lack of alternatives.
