Feb. 17--Doug Robins may have been a high school baseball coach, but he ran his program in major-league fashion. His Levittown Memorial and Division teams prepared and conducted themselves like pros. And his knowledge of baseball far surpassed his peers on the high school level. Yet he was more interested in teaching than winning, though he excelled at both. Robins, who was 58, died this week after a long battle with brain cancer. He will be missed.
