Come to be dazzled! Come to be amazed!
Approach "The Prestige" with that attitude and you will be disappointed.
Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale star as stage magicians who become rivals after a trick takes a tragic turn. They spend the rest of their lives sabotaging each other's acts as they seek to perfect the ultimate illusion.
It should be a treat to see the big screen's Wolverine and Batman go at it, but director Christopher Nolan's script is all clumsy misdirection. Much of the movie is told in flashbacks as both characters read the other's diary. That's a creaky ...
