Chief Justice Fred Lewis walked into courtroom 1C in the Leon County Courthouse January 11, weaving between the chairs placed along the walls to accommodate all the volunteers for the Justice Teaching initiative. Lewis stopped several times on his way to the front to greet volunteers with enthusiastic handshakes.

The number of people blocking walkways and doorways would have made the fire marshal frown, but Lewis was all smiles as he looked out at the large number (more than 100) of participants.
