This is the first letter I am writing to you as the newly elected president of The Pharmacy & Therapeutics Society. At our recent sixth annual conference held in October in Washington, DC, I was honored to have been chosen by my colleagues to serve the membership for the coming year. The sixth annual conference is a major milestone in the history of the Society. The juxtaposition of sessions on changing public policy, particularly Medicare part D drug benefits, with market reality represents a commitment by the Society to support its individual and institutional members across the entire health care spectrum as we learn from each other's experiences and apply these lessons ...
