Company marks record year for charitable donations and volunteerism
PORTLAND, Maine -- TD Banknorth, Inc. announced that in 2006 it made 928 grants totaling more than $8 million through the TD Banknorth Charitable Foundation. In addition, TD Banknorth employees logged more than 250,000 hours of volunteer service, making it a record year for their support for local communities.
Through its Charitable Foundation, TD Banknorth provided financial support to non-profit and public institutions throughout Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Vermont.
