A. This is a difficult question, to say the least. There are more than 200 million guns in circulation in the United States. And the bottom line is, there is a lot of money to be made selling guns. People who defend gun ownership say that guns are used for recreation, protection and sport. Sport includes killing animals. On the other side are people who say that guns need to be heavily regulated. They say that guns, especially when they are kept in the home, pose more risk than benefit.
