I WAS intrigued by the podcast with John Kelly, Liverpool City Council's newlyappointed Director of Regeneration, which was critical of Merseyside Special Investment Fund (MSIF).
Since Liverpool Chamber of Commerce, like the Bank of England, is a guarantor of MSIF I feel compelled to offer a view.
MSIF and its management company Alliance Fund Managers, are rare examples of expert development capitalists in Liverpool. Local growth will be constrained unless businesses explore innovative sources of equity funding.
