Hungarian Paks nuclear plant to submit plan for 20-year life extension by end-2008
BUDAPEST. FEBRUARY 21. INTERFAX CENTRAL EUROPE - The management of Hungary's only nuclear power plant Paks will work intensively this year on preparing a plan for the 20-year life extension of its generating blocks, which has to be submitted to nuclear energy authorities by the end of 2008, company officials said Wednesday.
"We are not behind as it is right now, but we will concentrate much more intensively on this issue this year than we did in 2006," CEO Jozsef Kovacs told a press conference in Budapest.
