Feb. 21--A man and woman stealing a plasma television led Newport News police on a highway chase early this morning that ended on Interstate 664 in Hampton.
During the 12-mile chase, police employed road spikes along 664 that shredded the tires on the suspects' van, bringing it to a stop along the exit ramp at Aberdeen Road just before 6 a.m.. The suspects, who were not identified, were taken into custody. No one was injured in the incident.
