Johannesburg: The curtain comes down on the 2006/2007 Sunshine Tour in the R2.25 million Telkom PGA beginning at Country Club Johannesburg tomorrow, with much more at stake than the not inconsiderable R356 625 first prize.
For starters, there's the not-so-small matter of honour in capturing one of this country's so-called "majors". To lift a trophy that has been played for since 1923 and is adorned by such names as Bobby Locke, Gary Player, Ernie Els, Nick Price, Mark McNulty and David Frost means a great deal.
