Feb. 22--When Sue Jarrett found out hog farms were already under construction near her family ranch in Colorado, she was told there was nothing she could do about it. She didn't take well to that answer and found out there was plenty that concerned citizens can do about industrialized hog farms coming to their community. "It can be as simple as passing a petition," she told about 30 people at a meeting Wednesday evening at Palmcroft School called by Yuma County residents who oppose a hog farm that is coming to the eastern edge of the county.
