Feb. 22--SAN FRANCISCO -- Ecosphere Technologies Inc. has been in business for nearly a decade, but deep-pocketed investors have never expressed interest in the company like they are today.

At a venture capital conference here, the Stuart, Fla.-based business debuted its latest product: a trailer-sized solar- and wind-powered system that can produce electricity, wireless Internet service and clean water in disaster areas and remote locations.
