Feb. 22--MERCEDES -- Winter Texans bring more than an economic boost to the Rio Grande Valley every winter.
They bring habits -- good ones.
Residents at Llano Grande Lake Park Resort are working to bring their recycling habits to their winter residence.
Winter Texan Tom Towles has been picking up aluminum cans from around the park since November. Towles said residents brought up a recycling plan at a recent park meeting.
Donna Farrell said the park is trying to work with a recycling plant in Weslaco to bring glass and newspaper recycling tubs to the park.
