UN to promote cold storage facility for coconut water
New York, Feb 22 (PTI) The United Nations plans to popularize among small farmers cold preservation process, which unlike commercial canning, will help retain the natural flavour, taste and nutrients of coconut water for weeks.
"The cold preservation process requires little investment and skills, and it offers small entrepreneurs a chance to enter the market of bottling coconut water of good quality," FAO Rural Infrastructure and Agro-industries Division officer Rosa Rolle said while speaking about a new training guide produced by the agency to promote the process.
