COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Dean Tucker is happy. The people who attend the spacious El Pomar Community Health Centerin town here are happy. That is, they are not complaining to Tucker, who is in charge of facilities for the not-for-profit public health care organization.
This was not the case until this past spring. Comfort was not necessarily the most-appealing feature of the center, which was originally established to provide health care services to low- and middle-income families in the Colorado Springs area.
